On April 9th there will be the Department of Arizona Annual Picnic. It will be held at Sahuaro Ranch Park. It is right next to Glendale Community College at 59th and Olive Ave. The following link may be helpful to you.

This year there will be a Train for all the kids to ride as well as some Soccer competition, Rocket firing at targets, and horseshoe throwing. There will also be play lots for the kids to let go of some of their energy.
The action starts at noon and will go until 1700. The menu for the picnic is hot dogs and burgers from 12 to 14 and then the ribs, chicken and beef will be placed on the grills. All the trimmings of beans, potato salad and the normal condiments as well as some deserts I am told.
The picnic is free to all DAV members and their families. Come join the fun and bring the family. Hope to see you there.
