Handicap Equipment
Do you have a need for a walker or maybe a wheel chair? Maybe a set of crutches or maybe a shower chair or a potty chair or maybe a cane? Well we have a lot of those items.
Not only do we have those items but we also have some scooters, but they require a note from your doctor stating you must use a scooter.
If you are a Vet or a family member stop by and see if we have what you need. These items are free to those who are in need of them.
Come by or call ahead during working hours.

Steak Fry and Valentines
If you missed the monthly steak fry, you missed a good one. The Ladies where presented with a flower upon entrance and the decorations in the hall where all red and white with the Valentines scheme.
It was nice to be able to get an adult drink in the non smoking room without having to go into the smoke filled lounge. So many of our members can not be exposed to smoke so this is more to respect their wishes and need as well.
The steaks were done to perfection. I did not hear of one single complaint all night about the steaks. It is not an easy job to cook to order steaks for as many people that we had at the dinner.
Pat & Doyle were the entertainment in the Lounge after the dinner, with their Karaoke. As most times, they played to a full house. Seats were a premium with extra chair brought in from the A/B room.
Good food and good company makes for a good night and that is what it was,.

People to People Student Ambassador Program
For those of you who missed the meeting last night, we gave $300.00 to a members son to aid him in the
People to People Student Ambassador Program. He will be going to Great Britain. Here is the letter he sent to the Chapter.
My name is Cody Santelli, and I am a 12th-grade student at Cactus High School in Peoria. I was recently interviewed and accepted to participate as a member of the People to People Student Ambassador Program to England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales this summer. The program promotes international understanding while building leadership skills among America’s youth. The 20-day experience includes meetings with government officials, interaction with other students my age, educational activities, and home stays with host families.
People to People Student Ambassadors are carefully interviewed and evaluated before their acceptance and I’m honored to have been selected. Personally, I am looking forward to broadening my perspectives of the world and gaining a better understanding of Celtic history. Upon my return, I plan to share my experience with schools and civic clubs in our community. As an Ambassador, I can also earn college credit because of the many educational elements in my program.
I am currently seeking financial sponsors to help me with tuition, and hope I can count on your support. In case you haven’t heard of People to People, please allow me to share some history with you. President Dwight D. Eisenhower founded the organization in 1956. He believed that if people from different cultures could come together in peace and friendship, so eventually would countries. Since it’s founding, People to People has launched many international programs, including Sister Cities and Project HOPE.
The program tuition is [$7,000], which includes all transportation, accommodations, meals, and educational activities. I am asking for any donation you could contribute to help me reach my goal. Is it possible for you to assist me by making a contribution? Any amount would be appreciated. I plan to give a speech and share my journal, photographs, and experiences with contributors upon my return.
Please feel free to contact me at [602-341-7827] if you need more information. Your generous contribution would enable me to share in this wonderful opportunity. Thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
Sincerely yours,
Cody Santelli
Student ambassador
